About NN.ACCDB

Update: 2/2008

As of Microsoft Access 2007, MS (My favorite Software company), changed the spec (again) of the Access database and the new file extension is ACCDB. But as the name suggests, My NN.MDB Project was written way back when in 2006, and even in the archaic MSA2k format.

Now, I’ve been running Access2007 for about a month now, and it seems that NN.MDB is stable in the new environment, maybe a little faster, but I haven’t done extensive testing.

While I hate being shoved along an upgrade path, and I hate the new office “ribbon” controls, and I hate that MS has abandoned the “File Edit View” standard, and made Office all "Vista" on us, there are some features in MSA2K7 that I’ve been wanting for years, (like a file-path bound image control, and RTF memo control) so you can expect that there will be an official NN.ACCDB in the future.

Till then, you can take the either of the current versions NN.MDB and save it in the ACCDB format, I believe it's perfectly stable, but of course that's not a guarantee.
